ABOUT THE COMIC
Being a super-hero used to mean something: Saving lives, being an inspiration… These days, having super powers is just considered a way to become rich and famous. AMATEURS is the story of a group of teenagers who are sick of it all, and are looking to bring some honor back to being a hero.
ABOUT THE CREATORS
Jeremy Massie (script/inks) unleashed his first super-hero slice-of-life story, The Deadbeat, in 2009. Amateurs is a new tale set in the world he created in that previous book. More of his comics and ramblings can be found at his blog, Massie Is A Deadbeat.
Jason Rainey (pencils/tones) has a checkered past filled with minicomics and anthology contributions. He currently moonlights as one-third of the artistic super group brownpaperbag, and is a regular cartoonist for the Viet Nam Literature Project.
